Horses and Boarding

In my opinion, there are few things as cute as a kid riding a horse. Meet our horse Rusty!  He’s a registered Quarter Horse in his late 20’s, and he’s a great family Horse.  Rusty was given to us in 2013 at the age of 25.  He was retired without much to do.  His owner wanted him to be in a situation where he would be appreciated, loved and ridden, so all his skills could be put to good use.    He teaches my kids riding and horsemanship.  He’s very patient, tolerant and he lets the kids have pony rides all around on him.   He’s calm and gentle with them on his back and off.   He’s in great health for a horse of his age which is a real bonus for us.  We are so blessed to have Rusty!

Bandit is the beautiful gray horse that boards here.  He’s a great friend for rusty and we love having him around.  All boarding spaces are full at this time.

UPDATE – November 2019 – Sad day, Rusty passed away.  He was 31.5 years old and lived a wonderful life.  In 2018 he photobombed our family picture.  We were all lined up at the pasture fence having our picture taken and he decided to come over and see what all the fuss was about.  I’m so glad he did!  It turned out to be a beautiful family picture and I even used it in my Christmas card that year.  He was one in a million – We will miss him!
